Cannon's Parade of GOP Entitlement Continues…

Utah Rep. Chris Cannon is at it again. According to AP Wire reports and a fresh ARTICLE on the Salt Lake Tribune web site, Mr. Cannon has written a judge asking him to please disregard any laws broken by Gambling Lobbyist and Abramoff partner, David Safavian, Mr. Cannon’s former Chief of Staff.
From the ARTICLE:
Safavian is scheduled to be sentenced Friday. Prosecutors argue that letting him off without prison time would be a”miscarriage of justice.”
Yet Mr. Cannon seems to feel that Safavian’s being convicted in June of lying to investigators about his dealings with Abramoff, isn’t a big deal and that Federal Crimes committed by Republican Staffers don’t deserve jail time.
Hey, Mr. Cannon, both of your standards are hanging out*.
