Pentagon plans to kill Marines

For anyone with ties to the Marine Corps, you know that a Marine is never afraid and always eager to confront, combat and conquer danger, right? Ok, so, what does it say when every Marine I know is terrified of the V-22 Osprey?
The Osprey is a flight platform that kills Marines. That may not be its intended mission, but, that’s what it does. Here’s a tasty tidbit about the Osprey:
the V-22 squadron’s former commander at New River, Lieutenant Colonel Odin Lieberman, reputedly instructed his unit that they needed to falsify maintenance records to make the plane appear more reliable. A crew member’s recording included him stating that “We need to lie or manipulate the data, or however you wanna call it”.
Look, credit where credit is due: This is a system that Dick Cheney tried to kill, so you know it must be bad.
So, why am I bringing it up now? Well, according to a Washington Post article I just found, thanks to Richard Warnick over at One Utah, these (sometimes) flying turds are being deployed to Iraq. That, folks, is how bare the cupboard is. Support The Troops!*
