I went through this stage off and on through the late 90s. I'm sure I'll get pounced on for this, but I believe that the Dem party is far too corrupt to be fixed -- at least not any time soon. I tried the Greens but got tired of the infighting and have become a progressive independent so that I'm free to vote for the best candidate regardless. We need to throw the bums out. Sad thing is, if we do throw them out, they claim we want the Repubs. If we hold our nose and voter lesser of the evils, the bad dems have no incentive to do what is right. I can sympathize.
