Agreed, Jenni!

I had to come back and post this. KSL has an article on it, and in describing the Council for National Policy it says:

The council promotes educational timed issues, religious issues and conservative issues. For example, "What you don't know about the Koran" is one of the workshop topics in this conference. Other topics include "70 Cities until the Election" and "Keeping Pro-Life in the GOP Platform."
http://www.ksl.com/?nid=148&sid=1882561

WTF? I really want to know what "secrets" they have to share with their "secret" group about the Koran that they don't know. How about that way back in the old testament of Christian tradition, the Qur'an started out as pretty much the same book, but when Abraham chose his younger son as heir, the older son went on to fulfill prophesy from THE BIBLE (gasp!) and write their holy book about God (yep, the same God the Christians and Hebrews worship!). Shocking, isn't it? Oh, one more shocker - you might want to sit down - the Qur'an talks about Mary, mother of Jesus.

You think maybe there are parallels between Christian and Islam tradition, much like the parallels between Sunni and Shia. Quit your damn fighting already! No wonder God is referred to as a Father - he has to settle petty squabbles over who he really loves more. If I were Him I'd ground us for like 3 thousand years!

Ummm, guess that was a rant, huh? Ah, well. Back to work. For real this time.

It's not so secret per se -- they just wanted to make it difficult for protesters to know where to go protest.

Classic Bush admin: If I don't see the protesters, they don't exist.
