Afternoon's Tunes – The Dead Milkmen

I love The Dead Milkmen. When I first got my driver’s license, I would drive around with my friends and we’d all sing along very loudy and just as off key.

From Wikipedia:

The band’s musical style could be described, in general, as punk with a large dose of comedy. For the most part, irreverence, high spirits and nonsensical humor were more important than musical complexity or technical proficiency. For example, there are songs called “Bitchin’ Camaro,” “Smokin’ Banana Peels,” “My Many Smells” and “Taking Retards to the Zoo.” Anonymous and Talcum both sang with Philadelphia accents and often sounded exaggeratedly snotty.

The first video is bittersweet for me. It always reminds me of a girl I screwed up with when I was 16 and again when I was 17. Twice. In two years. Whatta dumbass. Whenever I hear this song I get all melancholy. It’s both absurd and makes me feel a little stupid, but, there it is. When all you’ve got are memories, you should do your best to FEEL them, even when the soundtrack is just a sarcastic 80′s punk band.

These just make me laugh:
