NBC is gearing up for a relaunch of American Gladiators. AMERICAN GLADIATORS!

Holy crap, there’s a new American Gladiators TV show coming! This was one of my favorite shows back in the 90’s where we got to see middle-class pencil pushers get their bells rung in a bunch of, usually painful, challenges (anyone remember Assault with the tennis ball gun?). Check out the video for a preview of what the contestants are going to be up against this time around. The new American Gladiators premieres Sunday January 6th at 9 pm EST on NBC and is hosted by none other than Hulk Hogan.
Can’t sum it up it any better than that, except to say: We’re all gonna die.

Yeah I just got the news on that BSG shutdown myself. Nearly cried (it’s already been what, a decade and a half since season 2 ended?).
Also, I watched the Carson Daley “return to prime time” by complete accident (I swear) last night, and it really drove the point home because, well, if it is reduced to only that fluff, me and Redbox are going to get quite close.
