G. Don Gale, who used to do the editorials for KSL, has a column in today’s Deseret Republican Party News-letter that, without naming names, beats the hell out of a Utah political party, blaming it for disillusionment of Utah voters.

Unlike most columns like this in the Deseret - Republican Party News -letter, it’s not blaming Democrats, but, Gale doesn’t say anthing other than “the dominant political party,” and, if you’ve ever been out campaigning against the the dominant political party, all of those Republicans stump about how they’re overwhelmed by Democratic hyjinks because the Dems are so powerful, etc.

It wouldn’t surprise me if there were some passive voters who believe that the Demos are the the dominant political party in Utah, because they’re led to believe that by asshats like LaVar Christiansen (long story, go look through the 2006 archives).

I’ve read Gale’s editorials and columns before and I’ve often found him to be an elequent and serious writer. This, however, has Joe Cannon’s fingerprints ALL OVER IT. Go READ THE COLUMN, and you tell me if the “dominant political party” stuff feels added in.
