More McCain BS on the “Bailout” Stunt

I can’t cover every piece of bullshit coming out of the McCain camp today on the bailout.
No one man can, no matter how much more I love America than you do.
However …
Republican presidential nominee John McCain has not introduced any banking or housing bills in the 110th Congress, while Democratic rival Barack Obama has proposed five.
Both candidates are traveling to Washington on Thursday to meet with President Bush and congressional leaders to build support for a massive rescue plan for the nation’s ailing economy.
So, they both get back to DC, and what happens? McCain screws everything up.* From C&L:
Barney Frank said earlier today that ‘White House photo-op designed to help McCain.’
“All of a sudden, now that we’re on the verge of making a deal, John McCain drops himself in to make a deal,” Frank said. “I really worry about this politicization of it….We’re trying to rescue the economy, not the McCain campaign.
McCain was only interfering with the negotiations.
Rep. Barney Frank told a group of reporters outside the House chamber: “It’s the longest Hail Mary pass in the history of either football or Marys.”
*I don’t like the bailout. I don’t support it. I think that the government ought to let these businesses fail and then Federalize the whole mess, but, that’s aside from the point. The point is that McCAin surrogates are claiming that the deal rolled smoothly because of McCain while other McCain surrogates are claiming that the deal was derailed by McCain. See? NO ONE TELLS THE TRUTH over at McCain, Inc.
