I wrote earlier about a poll that Dave Clark had on his “blog” about redistricting. He obviously expected to be visited by sycophants and instead heard from real Utahns, so, like any Utah Republican’t – he removed the poll because his point of view was getting waffle stomped.

from TPM:
The Minnesota Supreme Court has handed down its much-expected ruling in the heavily-litigated Minnesota Senate race from 2008 — and it’s a unanimous one — deciding against Republican former Sen. Norm Coleman’s appeal of his defeat in the election trial and affirming the lower court’s verdict that Democratic comedian Al Franken is the legitimate [...]

Ah! The danger of satire is that sometimes it can so encapsulate the truth of an issue so accurately that the target becomes unaware that they’re being teased. Take a look at the Colbert Report’s right-wing demo break down sometime.
So – enter HAARM. I got my link to their brilliant website from two places – [...]

Oh, my! When you wish upon a star …
While this ticket would dominate in Utah … I’m nearly sure that they’d loose the other 49.

This is a daily post page for an artist I know – he’s only going by “Ev” on this blog, so, I’ll keep his real name to myself for the time being. Needless to say, he’s a very talented guy. If he stays true to the title of his blog, there’ll be a new drawing [...]

From Think Progress -
Rep. Bob Inglis (R-SC) was one of President Clinton’s harshest critics in the 1990s, an “impeachment ‘manager’ who attacked the moral failings of the president.” However, in an interview with the Wall Street Journal, Inglis says that while he has since recognized that nobody’s perfect, his party is still clinging to its [...]

I’m pretty sure I have this plan right now. Well, I have the “Don’t Have Gotten Hurt, Ever” Health Plan.
At least it has more depth than their Economic Recovery Plan.

Mr. Bulkley was, hands down, one of the most influential teachers I’ve ever had. He was a teacher who knew when to smile and exactly when to get more serious – and, as I recall, he was honest in a way you don’t often see these days.
One of my favorite memories of Mr. Bulkley, as [...]
