The Gap – How do I support a store I don't shop at?

Posted By on November 23, 2009

Joe. My. God. frames it up so well, I’ll just quote him, and then say something pithy at the end …

After being targeted with a boycott by the American Family Association as an anti-Christian retailer, GAP began airing a commercial that does use the word “Christmas.” But it also mentions Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, and the pagan-y Winter Solstice. It even says you should celebrate however “you wannukah.” MEOW.

See? Now, how am I supposed to buy a pair a chinos when i wouldn’t wear a pair of chinos. It’s a conundrum … but, aside from that, good job with that whole “America the Melting Pot” and “Freedom of Religion” thing that folks like the [anti]-American Family Association don’t quite grasp.
