This week, I’m trying something new. I’m using AI to help summarize the work I’ve done for this campaign over the last four weeks. I’m still uneasy using AI because it’s new to my skills toolbox.
AI CONTENT:
Over the past four weeks, I’ve developed a comprehensive creative pitch for the Caledonian Braves rooted in discovery, research, and strategic insight. I began by evaluating the club’s identity, goals, and growth opportunities, alongside audience research that pointed clearly toward short-form video as the most effective medium for reaching and engaging the next generation of supporters. From there, I explored player histories and individual journeys to identify authentic, emotionally resonant stories that could bring the club’s values to life and deepen the connection between the team and its audience.
Drawing on my long-standing experience in marketing and brand strategy, I shaped these insights into a cohesive storytelling framework that balances creativity with clear business objectives. The work delivered so far translates research into narrative-driven content designed to build loyalty, strengthen the club’s identity, and ultimately support season ticket growth. Each element of the pitch reflects an intentional blend of strategy, storytelling, and execution, laying a strong foundation for a scalable campaign that feels both modern and true to the Caledonian Braves.

AI THOUGHTS:
I’m pretty old school when it comes to content creation. I’ve been doing it without AI for over 30 years, and I’m comfortable starting from a blank page and filling it with my own thoughts and creativity. With that said, I can see the appeal for using AI to help generate drafts and idea points. Using a detailed prompt, the AI produced content that was eerily close to my own voice. One glaring problem that I have, and I may not be unique in this, is that I don’t retain information as well when I have help with the opening draft as I do when I just write it all myself. I find, as I go, that I’m checking notes far more often to move forward in a narrative than I do when it’s my words. I’m still uneasy with using AI in general, though I am well aware that this is the way younger creatives will generate content in the future. If I want to keep up, I have to evolve and adapt to changes in my industry.
(This is a work of fiction. An exercise for class. Anyone stumbling upon this should know that it is not real.)
